Having studied Eastern, and in particular Tibetan, medicine for several years, and applying the knowledge I gained through my study in treating patients here in America, I decided to share with others the knowledge I had gained in the hope that they also could take advantage of the tremendous benefits of these ancient traditions. That is why I wrote this book. The various parts of the human body are interconnected in complex ways. For example, because the liver, can influence eyesight. Healthy eyes are impossible without a healthy liver. In additon, diseased kidneys will adversely affect the ears, since hearing is directly tied to the kidneys. Healthy kidneys will restore good hearing.

We must start thinking about our health at an early age. Disease must not be allowed to penetrate deep into our bodies. It transforms organs, contaminates them, and makes them sore, as various forms of mucus, sand, stones, salt and other kinds of deposits accumulate. The more burdened the body is with these accumulations, the harder it is to restore it to a healthy state.
